The Bittensor chain is substrate based.

Each block on the blockchain is written with events and extrinsics that occurred during the 12 seconds that the block was being produced.

Extrinsics

Extrinsics are groupings of events that occur together.

Events

Events are node/subnet registrations, tao trades, delegations, and distributions.
